PRIVACY POLICY
Offline means less data to protect.
Exactly how Modelroom Atlas stores local progress, what it never collects, and how to erase it.
1. Introduction
Modelroom Atlas is published by AI ETHICS AND GOVERNANCE INSTITUTE. This policy explains the app’s offline data behavior and the choices available on this device.
2. Scope
This policy applies to the Modelroom Atlas Android application and its two-page support website. It does not govern a browser, app store, device operating system, or third-party site.
3. Offline operation
The app is designed to work without an account and without a network connection. Its Android manifest does not request Internet access.
4. Data we do not collect
The app does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, precise location, contacts, photos, audio, free-text stories, advertising identifiers, payment data, or account credentials.
5. Data stored on device
The app may store only fictional case IDs, lens answers, control choices, dispositions, rationale tags, bookmarks, ledger state, and accessibility preferences. These values remain in the app’s private local storage.
6. Purpose of local storage
Local values support progress, bookmarks, structured choices, session continuity, accessibility, and reset controls. They are not used to identify a person or build a profile.
7. Permissions
The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts, location, notification, storage, Bluetooth, health, phone, or Internet permissions.
8. Network and third parties
The app contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, remote configuration, cloud database, social login, payment processor, or embedded third-party web content.
9. Analytics, ads, and tracking
The app does not use analytics, advertising, cross-app tracking, fingerprinting, attribution, telemetry, or behavioral profiling.
10. Sharing and sale
Because the app does not collect personal data, it does not sell, rent, disclose, or share personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or other businesses.
11. Retention
Local values remain on the device until the user clears them in the app, clears app storage, or uninstalls the app. No server-side copy exists.
12. Deletion
Use “Erase local atlas” in the utility panel to remove the app’s local progress and preferences. Android system settings or uninstalling the app can also remove local storage.
13. Backup and device transfer
Android backup and device-transfer extraction are disabled for app data. Device manufacturers and operating systems may apply their own system behavior outside the app’s control.
14. Children’s privacy
The app is written for general adult learning and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
15. Security
The app minimizes risk by avoiding accounts, network transmission, sensitive permissions, and remote storage. No software or device environment can be guaranteed absolutely secure.
16. Your choices
You may use the app fully offline, skip optional local progress actions, adjust text size or motion, erase local state, clear app storage, or uninstall at any time.
17. Changes to this policy
If app behavior or this policy changes, an updated policy will be included with the app and support website, with a revised effective date when appropriate.
18. Publisher and contact
